DRIVE Basketball
The DRIVE after school basketball program will run at Cove Cliff Elementary and be exclusive to kids grade 1-4 in the Cove Cliff community. In this program, young athletes will learn about the importance of physical literacy, develop their basketball skills, and most importantly have fun! Each session will be focused around introducing the athletes to “pass, dribble, shoot”, the core fundamental skills of basketball. Each core skill will be followed by fun interactive games that will help to reinforce the skill being taught.
When the weather gets nice the outdoor courts may be used to run the session. The program will be run by a qualified, experienced coach who has completed a valid criminal record check. If the program has more than 14 athletes participating, a second coach will also be present.
Age: Grades 1-4
When: Thursdays 3-4.30 pm

Dates: April 10-June 12 (10 sessions)

Lights Up Musical Theatre
Sing. Dance. Act. Shine!
At Lights Up After School, your child can experience the joys and benefits of musical theatre by taking part in our after school programs led by our talented and experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools’ staff.
These classes are a unique introduction to our weekend musical theatre programs and provide students with an enriching, rewarding, and most of all, fun after school activity right at the bell!
SPRING SHOW: MAGIC SCHOOL BUS!
Seat belts, everyone! This Spring, we will be putting on a musical performance of “Magic School Bus”, created for our after school students! Inspired by the series of the same name, students will sing, dance, and act on a field trip through space with everyone’s favourite teacher, Ms. Frizzle!
Performance will be on the last day of classes for friends and family.
Age: K-7

Zen Maker Lab
We are excited to introduce the Zen Maker Lab STEAM after school program at Cove Cliff. Designed to spark creativity and innovation, this program offers hands-on learning experiences for students in grades 4-7. Learn more HERE.

Where: Mr William’s classroom
Dates: April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (5 sessions)

Come to Our Monthly PAC Meeting Every Third Wednesday!
Every parent of a child who attends Cove Cliff is automatically a member of the Parent Advisory Council. All parents are welcome at the meetings and are encouraged to attend. It is a great way to get to know what is happening at the school, what events are coming up, and ways to help out.
